Mr. Lohdam Ndam, Director of the Research and Production Department in the Federal Ministry of Information was born on the 10th of October, 1953 in Kadarko, Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State.
He attended Wase Native Authority Primary School, Kadarko from 1961-1968 and proceeded to the Boys’ Secondary school, Gindiri from 1969 – 1973 where he obtained his West African schools Certificate.
Lohdam Ndam also attended the University of Ibadan, Oyo State for his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from 1974 – 1977. Later, he enrolled for a certificate course at the National Institute of Public Information, Kaduna from April – June, 1979. In the year 1984, he went back to the University of Ibadan to obtain his Masters in Communication Arts, which was completed in 1985.
In 1994, he obtained a certificate in Advanced Management from the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), Badagry. Mr Lodham Ndam joined the civil service as an Information Officer Plateau State from 1978-1979.He was appointed as the Principal Press Secretary of the first Civilian Governor of Plateau State, Chief Solomon Lar from 1979-1982.
In August 1982, he was transferred to the Federal Ministry of Information as a Principal Information Officer and in October 1983, he was posted as the Head of the Federal Information Centre, in Bauchi State and later as Head of the Federal Information Centre, Kano in 1986.
Ndam became Director of the Research and Production Department of the Ministry in 2007. His ad-hoc duties include Representing the Ministry on the Board of Maritime Academy of Nigeria Oron, and the Board of the Nigeria Film Corporation, 2009.
He is married with five children. His hobbies are reading and swimming.

Mission
To ensure timely production and distribution of publications and audio-visual materials on the programmes and policies, of government and the country.
Vision
To promote public awareness of Nigeria and her Government through the production of qualitative publicity materials.
Functions
1. The Department is responsible for the production of a variety of printed and audio-visual publicity materials designed to promote public awareness about the policies and programmes of the Federal Government and the country.
2. The Department is also responsible for documenting important national events and preserving such documents for future references.
3. The Department co-ordinates research activities, domestic and international seminars and conferences as well as policy matters relating to the parastatals of the Ministry.
